The main role of the Oversight Committee is to bring various sectors’ perspectives together to provide strategic advice, information, data, goals, and direction to the municipalities through their appointees, regarding the implementation of the Plan, and to provide information and updates regarding initiatives and processes that align with or address key themes identified within the Plan.
In 2024, the Oversight Committee created 4 campaigns to educate and inform the community about the four (4) Priority Areas. Through education and awareness, the Oversight Committee’s goal is to “start the talk and stop the stigma” surrounding certain issues such as mental health and addiction, and also provide community members with information as to where to obtain information and assistance.
This year, the Oversight Committee is also tasked with creating an Action Plan for moving forward in 2025 and beyond
